Alessandro Agudio’s work echoes the interior design aesthetic produced in the suburbs of Brianza, where the artist was born, and that of the fitness clubs where he worked as a personal trainer. This work is composed of four shapes used for the suspension training of the climbers.

Through this gym equipment, Agudio reflects on the relationship between the body and external objects, which he questions by means of their defunctionalizaton, modification and decontextualization. The training tools are reminiscent of BDSM practices and suggest a suffused yet explicit erotic atmosphere, the same that can be felt in fitness clubs, which invites one to spy on the bodies of others in the act of physical effort.
